Two Bridge Replacements at I-95/Rte. 2

Project Overview

SPS successfully reconstructed this busy interchange, including replacement of 2 bridges at Route 2 over I-95 (Rte. 128). The project included: Erecting a precast concrete modular bridge abutment on concrete leveling slab footing, with a cast in place concrete pier on concrete drilled shafts; Constructing a steel superstructure with concrete bridge deck, parapets and safety features; Performing full highway reconstruction on Route 2 and I-95, precast concrete median barrier and improved ramp geometry; Upgrading drainage, including new storm water treatment basins.
