Matthew McCue
Project ExecutiveAs a Project Executive with SPS New England, Inc., Matt is responsible for all aspects of project management, including day-to-day operations; oversight of multiple crews working both day and night shifts; safety oversight; creation and implementation of the project schedule; job cost tracking; hiring and scheduling subcontractors/ trades to meet deadlines; traffic management; resolving engineering issues; and working closely with state engineers, local officials, architects, railroad authorities and tradesmen/women.
Matt has managed some of SPS’s most challenging projects, including the Commonwealth’s first continuous-span pre-cast, pre-stressed and post-tensioned bulb tee beam structure in Dedham. Matt was instrumental to the company’s success on the first heavy lift DB project in Phillipston, and most recently he successfully led two large interstate bridge and highway construction projects with accelerated schedules in Lexington and Littleton. Matt’s management of the Westminster Route 2 over Route 140 project spearheaded a value engineering change proposal that enabled project completion 20 months ahead of schedule, saving the owner more than $500,000.
