Christopher J. Groth, P.E.
Sr. Vice President of EstimatingChristopher has over 32 years of experience in the design and construction of Heavy/Civil structures and roadways. Christopher has executive responsibility for all aspects of construction contracting including cost estimating and bidding, cost control, procurement and contract negotiations, field operations, project management, scheduling, safety/risk management and quality control.
Since joining SPS in 1996 as an Estimator, his roles have included VP of Total Quality Management, VP of Estimating and VP of Project Management. His current focus is on the company’s contract pursuits and preconstruction planning and he maintains an integral role in our design-build ventures, value engineering, alternative technical concepts and ABC/innovative construction techniques.
In addition to his work within SPS, Christopher is a member of the Construction Industries of Massachusetts (CIM), Foundation and Marine Contractors Association of New England, NH Good Roads Association, Maine Better Transportation Association, DBIA, SAVE International, ABC-UTC, NASTO, and UCANE.
Christopher also serves on SPS New England’s Total Quality Management Committee and Safety Committee.
