Position Description

Job Summary:

A Construction company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hiring Manager to join our dynamic construction company. As a Hiring Manager, you will play a pivotal role in attracting, assessing, and selecting top talent to drive our company’s growth and success. Your expertise in recruitment, construction industry knowledge, and exceptional communication skills will be instrumental in ensuring we have a competent and dedicated workforce.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for various positions within the construction company.

2. Collaborate with department heads and project managers to understand their hiring needs and create comprehensive job descriptions.

3. Source potential candidates through online job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, and other relevant channels.

4. Conduct thorough candidate screenings, including resume reviews, phone screenings, and in-person interviews, to evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.

5. Coordinate and schedule interviews, assessments, and reference checks while ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

6. Collaborate with hiring teams to evaluate and compare candidates, provide feedback, and make well-informed hiring decisions.

7. Stay updated on industry trends, recruitment best practices, and labor market conditions to proactively adjust recruitment strategies and attract top talent.

8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and industry organizations to expand the talent pool.

9. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements throughout the recruitment process.

10. Continuously improve recruitment processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a Hiring Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.

3. Deep understanding of construction industry job roles, skills, and requirements.

4. Familiarity with recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).

5. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with diverse candidates.

7. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding the right fit for each role.

8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

9. Proactive and self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset.

10. High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
